That is the chorus of an old school Christian song we sang in those days appreciating God and Christ for his sacrificial death on the cross for mankind (You and I)  and the resurrection as well as the victory that came with the sacrifice.  The grace to be above sin, poverty and death. We have also extensions of this grace as children of God to succeed, Think Big and have big dreams. And I pray that as God acted on the blood of the lamb in Exodus 12:12 ff  saying ”  ¹² For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. ¹³ And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.  ¹⁴ And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.”

we all be marked by the blood of the lamb and be passed over by death, poverty,  sickness pestilence, childlessness and all ills and negative attacks in our lives. Striking out all Sin and bad habits in our lives in Jesus name,  Amen.  We must succeed in Jesus name. Amen and Amen.
Let me share what my Pastor Sam Adeyemi of Daystar Christain Center posted  on Facebook which is spot on and speaks my mind on the subject and what the season  means to me.

He says “You know, it might seem counter-intuitive to celebrate something like Good Friday. After all, that’s when Scripture tells us Jesus died on the cross. But we know how the story ends…

So, we aren’t celebrating death! We’re celebrating the incredible sacrifice Christ made for us all and his eventual, miraculous resurrection. He conquered death and the grave!
#Easter is the perfect time to reflect on what Jesus Christ did on the cross for us all. So it’s the Easter or Passover holidays like I used to call it coming from a Jewish orientation.  My late Dad, Rabbi/Elder Roland Chukwuchebem Amachi (GBHS), who would have been 77 years old this April 12; practiced Judaism and we had quite a different look on the gentile holidays and seasons.  On Pascal nights of Passover Evening which same as the Last supper Christ Observed as written in Exodus 12. My late Dad always presented a lamp without blemish. as instructed by YHWH to Moses in the scriptures:  Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

⁴ And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.   ⁵ Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:  ⁶ And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.  ⁷ And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.  ⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.  ⁹ Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof. ¹⁰ And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.  ¹¹ And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord‘s passover.”  

And yes we did that 99% as the blood on the door post was by washing of feet.

But I grew up to see both Easter and Christmas from my very own perspective and I chose to stand for the #TheReasonForTheSeason #Christmypassover #ressurection, #Renewal, #Life #Holidays.  #positives!  Matthew 28 says “ In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. ² And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. ³ His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: ⁴ And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. ⁵ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. ⁶ He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. ⁷ And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.:

So for the reason for the season  which is Christ our Saviour, John 15:13 says “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”.  He did it for you and I.   And that old school song ends…………… I have victory!!!!  So let us “show love just because”  like #ChazB (GBHS). Amen.

Holidays like the current one are special days especially the long ones like #Easter and #Christmas (even though not quoted verbatim in the scriptures).   As an employee any holiday was fine by me even especially the Islamic festivals as they were Government approved  time out from work to spend with family. No rush hour traffic to and fro Lagos Islands.  Some of us easterners, use this opportunity to take a trip to see our parents like I just did.  Yes am writing this from my Mom’s home in Enugu. Other than this we normally sleep for one day stretch then do some side business as it applies, spend time with your wife and child(ren)  and then unwind with siblings and friends.
