A few months ago, I was privileged to manage a one week packed Customer Relationship Management (CRM) discovery session for Nigerian Immigration Service at their Headquarters in Abuja. They have just deployed Contact Center and Microsoft CRM technology and needs to leverage it for quality immigration services to Citizens.

It was an awesome experience with our services men and women, who were very eager to leverage technology to improve their services across board to Nigerians.

I also am a member of the faculty of Nigeria Association of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (NASME Lagos) andi appreciate NASME Leadership for the opportunity to server in our many empowerment programs planned for its members.

This theme of our training is on “Leveraging Technology for business”. 

I shared with the members , some information on how to leverage their existing applications and other recommended Microsoft modern business technologies to help get the information needed to predict business’s future trends.

 

So let me appreciate all Entrepreneurs who braced the storm, flood and rains to attend our Digital Marketing Masterclass for MSME and Sales Executives.
As promised they all got their training materials and also the free email and SMS database to help them test their hands on some areas ; amongst all other aspects of #Digitalmarketing.

We were also able to prove that Digital Marketing is not Rocket science but a strategy which we can do ourselves at low cost for increased sales and brand awareness.
Here are the Go dos:
1) Business listing (registrations and Social media presence)
2) Social Media Marketing (Paid ads)
3) Hosting a website for your business
4) Blogging for content marketing .
5) SEO and SEM
6) Email Marketing
6) SMS Marketing
7) Networking

Remember to pen down your objective for each campaign, choose the right audience and location. Post quality contents which can be text ads, Display Ads or Video Ads leveraging Business Manage pages of your business pages as well as Google ads and google my business.

Design and launch strategic marketing campaigns from all your channels and run them at short intervals for regular analysis to avoid waste on non-performing channels. Rejig/redesign and launch. The target is money in your account if you are not making money through digital marketing of a good products then something is wrong either with your pipeline or the marketing channel.

Don’t forget your call to action and timelines. Putting out quality contents without a call to action leads to failed marketing campaigns.

Concentrate on being the best by bench-marking with successful competition but don’t dwell on them. The 100 meter dash medal won’t be won by Usain bolt, if he was looking at the other lanes. Even though he knows they are there. His eyes are always on the finish line.  Track and Use analytics to measure your performance periodically.

For those employed, start your side hustle. Run it parallel. Use your salary to start that business. Start putting money aside and start buying equipment you need while employed. No one will give you loan when you take the plunge or get sacked
