Outbound Call Centers: This is the major center mainly use or sales, promotions and market research. It can provide election polling, warranty extensions, appointment scheduling for cable television, call backs for online price quotes, and following up on leads for products and services sales.

Automated Call Centers: It is an advance call center; this is involved the use of advance technology elements to automate the operations of the customer service representative on the computer devices. This provides a dramatical support to reduce the overall TAT and streamline your customers waiting on an IVR.

Is there any difference between call center and contact center?

Literarily, call center deals with voice calls while contact center controls the management of every contacts. Operationally, most call centers have the capacity to handle queries across various platforms like mail, live chat, messaging etc.

Now, it is rare to see an organization separating call center from contact centers, it is therefore positioned to be the same while the names can be used interchangeably.
